1. Event Details: The Bremerton Yacht Club is hosting the 92nd annual Heavy Weather Navigation event and Social Gala during President’s Day Weekend, February 13–15, 2026. The event includes a Heavy Weather Navigation Contest on Saturday, which is a major International Power Boat Association (IPBA) event.
2. Event Highlights: The centerpiece of the weekend is the navigation contest, while the highlight is the Saturday night Social Gala featuring dinner, skits with a "Fantasy Island" theme, and awards presentations, including the coveted Rubber Clam Gun award.
3. Registration and Moorage: Participants are required to register for the event on the Bremerton Yacht Club website. Moorage and power will be available for guest boats.
4. Special Rules for Navigation Contest: The contest will follow the Standard Rules of the IPBA with modifications. There will be Traditional and Open divisions, with specific rules for navigational aids, logs, observers, and finish time windows. Observers will be provided for contestants who register by February 11, 2026.
5. Weekend Schedule: The event includes social hours, dinners, breakfasts, the navigation contest, skits, awards presentations, and dancing. Friday features dinner and dancing, Saturday includes the navigation contest and Social Gala, and Sunday concludes with a hosted continental breakfast.
